What are some of the key differences when it comes to sugaring vs. waxing? We get this question all the time!
WAX is made of resins and might contain toxic chemicals that can do more harm than good. These ingredients are often irritating, if not toxic, to the skin.
SUGARING uses only all-natural ingredients. The preparation is 100% natural and contains just water and sugar, with no chemical, fragrance, or artificial coloring. The sugar paste is hypoallergenic, so it won’t cause any skin irritation. In fact, it’s so natural that a sweet-toothed person could even eat it!

Wax is a resin, which means it can only sit on top of the skin. Sugar, however, seeps into the follicle, getting a tighter hold on the hair before it is removed. This leads to less breakage when you are sugaring as opposed to waxing. While the wax is removed AGAINST the direction of growth, when sugaring, the sugar paste is removed in the direction of growth. This also leads to more breakage when waxing!
Unlike waxing, you will NEVER leave a sugaring treatment feeling sticky. š
You see, the sugaring paste can easily be removed with water. š¦

On the other hand, wax contains icky resins that can only be removed with chemical solvents (even then, the residue can often linger). Post-waxing, there’s a pretty high chance of leaving sticky. š¬
