I’ve waxed on and off for Brazilians for maybe the last 5 – 6 years. Memberships with other hard wax franchises. With moving back to the area I wanted to find a location I could use regularly. Tested out the free/discounted trials from both European & Sugaring NYC.Definitely differences between hard and Sugaring. Some I do think is preferred preference and experience. My experience so far I feel Sugaring is a little more uncomfortable application but the removal seems to last longer and I don’t feel as irritated/sensitive skin after. That’s the biggest notice I’ve had!Had my second return to Sugaring NYC today and definitely think I’ll keep using them. I’ve tried it two different technicians, Oliva & Christina, and both gave great bed side/personal manners. Most importantly, a consistent experience of process, educating, knowledgeable, and professionalism. Which I appreciate a consistent service and expectation no matter who or what service I book with my busy schedule.Lastly, was initially intrigued by Sugaring for the aspect to try something new but also because I saw the owners post in local pages and saw their active efforts to give back and be involved in the community. Even though a “franchise”, I can appreciate the small business owner who’s being apart of the community. Met them at my visit and they were just as friendly/personable as their staff. Intentional with their interaction.I will say, I do appreciate they’re not very “commercialized” mentality either of pushing additional sales for their products both times I’ve came. Have only mentioned products when I’ve asked and gave me their own personal use experiences about ones they like. I personally like that they focus the experience on the actual customer and not the sale. Which I tend to buy and trust more in “products” with experiences like that. So overall, two experiences in and I definitely would recommend to give it a try and as well plan to continue to go myself!
